History - since 1988
Shoe factory "Alpinist" primordial planned and started to work as a manufacturer of leather footwear for extreme sports including mountaineering and alpinism. "Alpinist" was found by the group of associates consisted of specialists in footwear producing and professional mountain-climbers. Our friends - honoured master of sports of the USSR Balyberdin V.S. (the national hero, first of the soviet alpinists who surmounted the Everest); honoured master of sports of the USSR Shopin V. (another great alpinist who was the member of the team surmounted the Everest in 1980)- took part in creation of the "Alpinist" shoe factory.
And so historically comes the name of our factory and trade mark Alpinist registered in 1988.
Later, on the basis of time-proved montaineering footwear technological working outs, "Alpinist" has created new models of special purpose shoes for the servicemen of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. New models were created in collaboration with Central Scientific Research Institute of Tanning and Footwear Industry under the control of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation, particularly in collaboration with the consultants-representatives of elite troop of Main Departnent of Internal Affairs of Leningrad and Leninrgad region Snetkov A.V., Nesterov V. and Salov A.
Today the labour collective of our factory consists of the best specialists in footwear manufacturing in Saint-Petersburg. Together with experienced old-school labours, who gained their experience in 70-80's on the shoe factory "Skorokhod" (the first-rate european footwear manufacturer at that times), young qualified specialists work on our factory - graduates of The Technology and Design University - modellers, production engineers, unit managers; graduates of technical schools and lyceums - skilled workmen, operators and others.
On the 14 april of 2004 shoe factory "Alpinist" successfully celebrated its 16-th anniversary.
At a present shoe factory "Alpinist" develops activities dynamically, increases production capacity, acquires new modern equipment, develops progressive technologies and materials. All our employees - engeneers, designers, technologists, marketing managers, sales managers - assiduously and diligently develops new tendencies and fresh shoe models. The goal of our work is to satisfy the high requirements of our partners and customers definitely. We are not going to to rest on the laurels. New heights are awaiting and our 17th anniversary will be met by conquer of new peaks.
